When I connect my Xbox One controller on my PC, either with a cable or bluetooth, the game doesn’t have sound. That’s not the case with my Xbox Series controller, though.

Can you check this by clicking on the sound icon 🔉 in the Windows taskbar, then click on the "Select a sound output" button shown as below, and make sure your regular speakers are selected.
