In-Game Bug Reports
Good evening. After having bought the game on my switch 2 i’ve been enjoying myself so far after most of the major issues the game once had had been fixed. However, even on the latest release of the game i’ve noticed some issues i feel still need to be adressed: Despite having been reported, these bugs still linger in the game: -Wall-Nut’s eye is still twitching in Wall-Nut Bowling -The corpses of zombies still don’t smoothly fade out when their death animation ends -The sunflower and the zombie still don’t hold the respective players’ controllers in the vs. mode screen -Brain production for zombies in vs. mode is still way too excessive -The victory animations for vs mode still aren’t as fluid and polished as they are in the original console versions of the game -Repeater’s eyebrows still aren’t aligned properly -Squash’s “squashed” sprite still looks weirdly layered and improperly downscaled (you can compare it to how it looks to the original game to see what i mean) -The back of split pea’s head still has its eyes closed on the seed packet -Despite being labeled as fixed in 1.5.0’s patch notes, cherry bomb’s exploding animation is still too fast (on switch 2 at least) And now for actually new issues i noticed while playing the game i hadn’t seen before: -Vacuuming up sun in mouse mode on switch 2 will cause the sun to go down to the coin bank rather than to the top where the sun bank is -The newspaper zombie’s newspaper doesn’t jitter slightly in its hands and also doesn’t glow white slightly when it gets hit like in the original game (I have discovered that this also happens with screen door zombies) -The newspaper zombie’s wig doesn’t disappear when dying unlike the original game -The animation that plays when a target zombie gets hit in vs. feels slower than it is in the original console version -The death animation on the target zombies in vs. mode plays faster than it should -Snorkel zombies don’t drop their arms when they take damage -The suburban almanac still fully displays the description of a new zombie before you properly discovered it in a level if it appears in the choose your seeds screen, whereas the original would tell you you haven’t encountered it yet until you encounter it in a level -Projectile speed, conveyor belt speed and sometimes fire rate (with plants like Spikeweed for example) are way faster than it should and makes the game feel much easier than it should -The sound effect engine for Replanted needs work, as if there are many sounds going on at once, some won’t play at all (for instance, if two projectiles that are very close together hit a buckethead zombie, the metallic clank sound will only play once instead of twice in quick sucession. Another example is when two plants fire a projectile at nearly the same time, only one firing sound effect will play. in worse case scenarios, this can completely stop the sound effects for jack in the box zombies, zombonis, balloon zombies and digger zombies from playing and thus leaving you completely unaware of their presence) -Squash can sometimes completely miss pogo zombies (shown in this video) -Squash ignores any bungee zombies that land right next to it and only attack any if they’re right above it -With switch 2 mouse controls, the normal sound effect that plays when you click on a seed packet that you can afford and place down also plays when you click on a seed packet you can’t afford along with the “can’t afford” sound effect, which shouldn’t happen -Potato Mine’s red blinking light is supposed to blink faster the closer a zombie in its row gets to it, which doesn’t happen in replanted -The animation speed on Starfruit’s star projectiles are inconsistent between projectiles and should be more akin to the speed they’re at in the original game while also remaining consistent between all of them -Starfruit’s projectiles also disappear before they’re fully off-screen, which doesn’t happen in the original game -The “A HUGE WAVE OF ZOMBIES IS APPROACHING!” text sometimes doesn’t flash white -The aforementioned text seems to be vertically offcentered from the screen -Not sure if this is intentional but for whatever reason a Gargantuar’s growling sound plays everytime you enter the main menu? This was never a thing in the original game -The sound effect of crazy dave’s trunk closing in his shop doesn’t play if you try changing tabs when there’s only one page avaliable (the animation of his trunk closing is also skightly slower than it should be) -No diamonds appear and are given to you when you give crazy dave an important item at his shop unlike the original game (only visual) -Crazy Dave’s talking sound effect doesn’t play after the initial instance of him talking when he tells you about new things in his shop -The sound effect that plays when you get coins from your lawn mowers at the end of a level doesn’t increase in pitch for each lawn mower like the original game -the sound that plays in the choose your seeds screen plays the correct selection sound alongside the sound that plays when you select a seed packet in-game, which shouldn’t happen -The top of the zombie's head gets cut off in the almanac index -The animations of the items you use on your plants in the zen garden play slower than they should -The soil on the flower pots you water in the zen garden don't get the wet overlay they'd normally get until they get thirsty again -I feel as if the game (at least on switch 2) still suffers slow down in certain instances, most notably the conveyor belt will sometimes move more chopppily than usual, and i still feel some very minor slowdown happening in select circumstances (such as the final level of each world). This is also very noticeable with how jittery the projectiles can get in zombie nimble zombie quick -Once you select imitater on the choose your seeds screen you can’t deselect it anymore And now for some feedback: -I think it would be neat that, when selecting a level in the level select screen, the zombie hand would pop up on the menu screen like if you started the game for the first time. I was pretty bumed out when i found out this effect only happened once and that’s when you start the game for the first time. So having it also appear in the level select screen would be really nice -Maybe an option to pick between loading screens? (maybe between the console version, the one in replanted, etc.) -The console version of pvz mapped different buttons to the choose your seeds interface to go to the shop and to view the almanac, whereas replanted treats them as buttons you can go towards by holding right on the joystick. I often find myself hitting these buttons on accident so mapping them to button presses when playing with a controller would make it so much more convenient -Being able to press a button to undo any plants you picked in the choose your seeds screen rather than having to manually unselect the plant from your collection of plants with a controller is way more convenient and quicker to do than the latter approach and i’d appreciate it if it were added to the game -The sound effect that plays when you collect sun with a controller should probably play as it’s going up towards the hud, not when you touch it with the cursor (this could be left the same for sun vacuuming) -Since the most recent update added survival endless variations for the other types of levels, i think it would be a great opportunity for me to bring back my request to add the various different versions of last stand included in the mobile version alongside the original (maybe alongside a cloudy day variant as well?) -As detailed on the below reply, the option to quit to the main menu from the almanac should take you straight to the menu and not just be 2 back to back button presses to go back one page -Holding down a button to shovel up a plant should be done slightly faster And that’s all i have to report on now. If i notice anything else i’ll be sure continue updating this thread detailing any other bugs i find while i continue playing the game while also marking the bugs that have been fixed233Views3likes1CommentGratitude for New Content & Urgent Bug Report (Nintendo Switch)
Dear EA and the PopCap Team, First, on behalf of the Nintendo Switch community, I would like to express our deepest gratitude for the latest update. Adding Survival: Endless to all environments, including the new Cloudy Day, is exactly what the fans have been asking for. This expansion adds incredible replay value and shows that you are listening to the community. However, since the implementation of these new modes, we have identified two critical bugs on the Nintendo Switch version that are significantly impacting the player experience: 1. Cloudy Day Achievement Progression Bug The Issue: Upon completing the required levels/waves for the "Cloudy Day" challenges, the associated Achievement/Trophy does not trigger. The Impact: This makes it impossible for completionists to reach 100% progress, leading to frustration for the most dedicated players who spend hours on these new challenges. 2. Survival: Endless Save Failure (Data Loss) The Issue: When choosing to "Save and Exit" during a Survival: Endless run (across any environment), the game fails to record the progress. Upon returning, the run is reset to the beginning instead of resuming from the saved wave. The Impact: This is a high-priority issue. Since Endless mode is designed for long-term play, the inability to save progress prevents players from reaching high waves and effectively renders the "Endless" aspect unplayable for those who cannot finish a run in a single sitting. Thank you for your continued support of this legendary franchise. We look forward to seeing these fixes in a future patch. Best regards, A Dedicated Fan137Views1like1CommentCoop Endless Can't Save Progress
When you exit the endless mode in coop, it says your progress will be saved but in fact, nothing will be. When you re-enter, it starts all from the beginning. Please EA! Fix this ASAP. This basically makes the coop Endless meaningless as there will be no way to get to higher streak if you can't save your progress! I wish you can fix this in 1.6.0!Zen Garden Audio Bug
This is a much more minor issue than the other Zen Garden glitch, but I still thought it was worth mentioning. When collecting coins in the Zen Garden with the cursor in V1.5 (Switch 2 is my platform) the audio that typically plays when you collect a coin is slightly delayed, making for an “off” feeling sound cue. This was not the case in previous versions. Oddly enough I have tested and this does not occur when Stinky the Snail collects coins nor does it happen if you use the Switch 2 mouse controls to click each coin individually. It also does not happen (even with the cursor) in the other game modes, only the Zen Garden. Thank you!PVZ Replanted: Survival & Puzzle Not Unlocking After Completion
PVZ Replanted Survival and Puzzle modes do not unlock even after completing all Adventure Mode requirements. Puzzle Mode up to 4 6 is completed and trophies are unlocked. Cloudy Day and Adventure Mode up to 5 10 are fully completed. Game files were verified, the game was reinstalled, and the issue has persisted for over two months. Platform Steam App ID 3654560 Build ID 21102436. Is this a known issue or bug.78Views1like0Comments
