Steam remote play feature does not work.

I've tried almost everything to fix this issue but if you attempt to play PVZ Replanted using steam remote play your controller (P1) inputs but not the other person in the game (P2). It registers and inputs both controllers perfectly fine in steam but the game will not register player 2. Was pretty excited for this update just for it not to function properly.
