"the content is substantial"
"and you don’t overcharge for it"
With EA in the picture, both of these are jeopardized from start to finish. I like the idea, i support the idea, but something tells me it will ultimately spell disaster for the gamers (as well as the devs), at the very end. I trust POPCAP, i don't trust EA. I sympathize with POPCAP, i don't stand EA. But if this is the only way to get everything in one game, i will (grudgingly) accept it. As long as it is not a pay to win thing, or a standard mobile microtransaction model, i am willing to bet on it.
Also, call me a pessimist, but i don't think they can fit certain content (like DS exclusive minigames), in that one version for PC. Besides, versions had differences between them, not the least bit of which had been the 9 max slots on consoles, vs the 10 max slots on PC. And they still have better things to polish, like a number of wonderful suggestions that already exist in the forums here.
My personal entries in the unofficial, fans' Replanted "wishlist", are:
Let Crazy Dave's shop sell other than Marigold plants, like the free mobile version allowed you to, even though they were pretty expensive!
And bring House upgrades from a console version here, to pc (XBOX?)!
All we can really do is nudge them in the right direction and hope for the best. If they hear me out and are kind enough to follow the parameters I detailed here then everyone wins.
