Tree of wisdom glitch

So if I go to the tree of wisdom and press (b) and then (x) then it returns me to the menu but then instantly puts me in a softlock type thing. (In the video and picture i was using the touch screen to get past crazy Dave talking). Please fix this even though not much people know of this. Just do it please. And resetting the software works but its anoying to do so.
