Forced to create a new pogo account
Hello. I had a Pogo account since 2007 with lots of tokens, badges, gems etc but had not used it isince April 2018. I've just gone to log in and was taken to the EA Account login page but I was unable to log into my existing Pogo account; instead it forced me to create a new Pogo account. Now every time I try to log in it takes me to the new Pogo account instead of my original one. I tried the 'Forgot Screen Name' option and the e-mail sent to me showed I had two Pogo accounts associated with my e-mail address; my original account and the new one. I've tried purging cookies and caches etc. and tried a different browser, but I'm still logged in every time to the new Pogo account.
So how do I restore my original Pogo account and remove the new one? Any help appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you for replying and thanks for that useful link. I discovererd yesterday that the advisor solved my pogo problem by associating the new pogo account with my main EA account and moving it to an older e-mail address I gave him; then using my usual e-mail address for a new EA account and my old pogo account. Thus it occred to me to try logging into Origin with the old e-mail address and found all my sims and other games in tact; thank goodness, although I had thought it would be the other way around with the e-mail addresses on the accounts.
I had a read of the informaion in the link you posted, it does seem very risky particularly as I have The Sims 3 in my games list, so I think it better not to try that. However I did see another link on that page about swapping e-mail addresses around on the accounts, which seems far safer to do, so I'll give that a try instead.
