Which EA Origin Gift Card for gem purchase?

This has been quite the confusing issue since the original $20.00 EA card with the Pogo logo on it was discontinued.

At that point the EA Origin Wallet card for 20.00 worked.

Now it looks like EA Origin Gift cards are available in $15.00 and $25.00 amounts, neither of which matches up with a gem purchase price. That makes players hesitant to get one of those.

Is there a card that can be used to purchase gems? Which card or which cards?

  • @RyzandShyn Just to add - It was a 20.00 EA Game Card with the Pogo logo on it that could be used to purchase gems - 275 - on the Pogo site.
That information is still there if you click on the EA Game Card link at the Pogo Mini Mall
  • @EA_Joz Thanks EA_Joz for that information 🙂. I will pass it along to the community at BadgeHungry.com which is where the discussions/questions about Gift Cards originated.
  • So if I currently have a $25 EA is there a way to load it into pogo or will EA exchange it for $20 card.  It's worthless to me otherwise!

@ndmntx20 Here’s how to redeem it.

    1. Sign in to your Pogo account.
    2. Redeem your card using this link.
    3. Choose what content you want to redeem using your gift card and click Select.
      • 275 Pogo Gems (plus 25 bonus Gems)
      • 3 months of Club Pogo
    4. Type in your EA Gift Card code and click Continue.
    5. Confirm your redemption info is correct.
    6. Click Apply Code.
  • Thank you for taking the time to follow-up regarding my concern.  I am afraid that Pogo,  EA, and myself are not communicating on the same page.

I have been a Pogo member since 2001,  I have purchased many Pogo gift cards on line and emailed them to friends and family.  I am familiar with the Pogo gift cards that were available online. I always ordered the cards from Walmart.  Since Pogo has been sold to EA, I assumed that EA cards would be honored at Pogo.  Yes, I did question that EA cards were available for $15.00 and $25.00.  I also assumed that Pogo had made that change on their website.  If you browse both Walmart and Best Buy websites you will not see anywhere that they sell any cards that reference Pogo.

Currently  I have 2 , $25.00 EA cards that I sent activation card numbers to that can not use on Pogo.

Thank you for your time.  I look forward to hearing your resolution.

  • @ndmntx20 - I've only heard of this working once, for one person that I know of, but this is what happened when they had an EA Gift Card that wasn't compatible with Pogo.

She was able to get someone at Customer Service help her add the amount to her EA Wallet (EA Wallet & Gift Card Terms and Conditions - Official EA Site), and then the Customer Service person facilitated using the EA Wallet funds to purchase gems.

How this happened, I don't know, because there's nothing written anywhere about that kind of transaction. All I know is that someone in her family gave her a gift of a card since they remembered she enjoyed playing on EA Pogo and that was the way she was finally able to use that card for Pogo gems.

    Good Luck.

  • Oh, that's great. It's a pity that then I couldn't participate in this competition. Besides, I didn't have a soulmate at all then. I hope that this year they are holding a raffle of gifts. I would really like to participate. I usually always get lucky in practical jokes. I remember how I participated in Amazon sweepstake and won a 50 dollars gift card. I spent them on new headphones, not all 50 dollars of course, but it so happened that I dropped the headphones in a bucket of water on the same day. I had to buy new headphones. So I'm more lucky with winnings than in life in general. Stupid story🙂
