You have two options for taking a screenshot on Windows.

Mac instructions
Full screen capture
- Open the program or applications you'd like to include in the screenshot. Arrange your screen as you would like it to appear in the image.
- Press Command + Shift + 3 and then release all keys.
- Look on your desktop for a new PNG file* that contains “Screen Shot” in the title. This is the screenshot you just took.
- Double click the file to open it and review the image.
*If you run into size limitations, re-save your screenshot as a JPG file.
Partial screen capture
- Open the program or applications you'd like to include in the screenshot.
- Press Command + Shift + 4 and then release all keys. Your mouse cursor will turn into crosshairs that you can move around.
- Drag the cursor to where you want to take the screenshot and click and drag the mouse over the area you'd like to capture.
- Release the mouse button when your selection is complete.
- Look on your desktop for a new PNG file* that contains “Screen Shot” in the title. This is the screenshot you just took.
- Double click the file to open it and review the image.
*If you run into size limitations, re-save your screenshot as a JPG file.
Please note: Some games have their own process for capturing screen shots and may save them in a special folder unique to the game. Please refer to your individual game instructions for information on special processes.
To post a screen on AHQ select 'Choose File' option below the post box:
Find the file/screen shot on your computer by selecting the Choose file again:
Once the image uploads and is displayed below the open window select 'Insert Image':
You can still add text to the post, but once you are finished, just hit Submit 🙂
