Merge Academy lost energy

I got kicked out of the Sugar Rush while completing a level, then all my energy was gone, so I thought I guess I used it all...moved on the main grid and all energy is gone.  I hadn't started play so I should have had 100.  I went back to Sugar Rush and now the challenge objects I had already collected are gone.
