Merge Academy Timers not working

Merge Academy has frozen several of my generators. It worked fine last night, I signed in this morning to find these (attached). The timers are not working or something is glitched. Both "bean" generators are stuck like this. The secondary "cup/drink" generator however the original one is working fine. And the "knitting basket" generator hasn't worked since last night, it's stuck as well.

  • That particular issue resolved itself, no issue now other than the case from a MONTH ago EA Support has not contacted me with agreeable resolve (Case # 207282276)

    Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear the game has been freezing on you lately, and I really appreciate the details you shared. It definitely sounds like something's up. If the generators were working fine last night but are now stuck or frozen, it could be a technical issue that is causing the issue. Could you try restarting the game to see if that gives things a nudge? If the issue sticks around, please let me know.

    I already did twice and signed out of pogo entirely and cleared cache and rebooted my computer.... it's not on my end, it 's on yours.

    Thanks for already trying restarting, signing out, clearing cache, and even rebooting—that’s genuinely helpful. It rules out some of the more common issues, and it’s great to have those covered right from the start.

    Totally understand why this feels like something on the game’s end, especially if everything was working fine before and then suddenly isn’t. Before I can escalate anything, I need to rule out other possible factors, so it helps to double-check a few details and ensure we've covered all the basics.

    On that note, when you have a moment, could you let us know:

    • What browser you’re using?
    • What kind of device you’re on (PC, Mac, etc.)?
    • Are you using mobile data, a wired connection or Wifi / Bluetooth?

     

    Once we’ve got that info, we’ll be in a better spot to narrow things down. Thanks again for flagging this and sticking with it.

    Browser: Google  Device: PC   using Wifi/Bluetooth (I think it's Bluetooth)  -- Please note the purchase was made on March 29th (Sat Mar 29 19:56:58 UTC 2025 per pogo receipt) -- I had 44 gems, I purchased 600 so I had a total of 644 gems. I then clicked to purchase a 325 gem Repair Bundle (for Solaitaire Home Story game) and it froze for a bit then when it became active again I had 319 gems left (total right before clicking to purchase was 644-325 (cost of repair bundle) = 319 remaining when everything was working again)

    Thanks for the follow-up and sharing the answers to those questions in your reply. So we're working with Chrome, on PC, and most likely connected via Bluetooth, ok!

    Bluetooth connections can sometimes be a bit unstable or interfere with background processes like timers, so if you're able to switch to a standard Wi-Fi or wired connection, it’s worth seeing if that makes any difference with the generator behavior in Merge Academy.

    I also saw your note about a gem purchase and Repair Bundle in Solitaire Home Story. Since threads are best kept focused on one issue, we’ll keep this one centered on the Merge Academy timer problem. That said, I do want to make sure you’re pointed in the right direction for the gem concern. Because gems are considered premium content, and you're reporting what sounds like missing currency, that’s something EA Support would need to handle directly. You can reach them at using this link, and it helps to include:

    • A screenshot of your Order History from myaccount.ea.com
    • The purchase date, item name, and your gem balance
    • Any confirmation or transaction IDs, if available

     

    That info should help them verify the purchase and take a closer look.
