Hello! Sorry to hear the Merge Games have not worked right for you for months and you are seeing blank screen. I’ve been playing Merge Academy, the side games, and Farm Merge Valley myself, and they are all currently loading and playing as designed on the Pogo website.

Because Pogo games run entirely inside our browser, several things can disrupt the browser’s ability to load scripts, graphics, or memory‑heavy assets can cause the page to appear blank. Things like our device system settings, hardware acceleration, graphics drivers, browser extensions, corrupted cookies or cache, and even an outdated browser or operating system can all affect how a game loads. Each game on Pogo is designed differently, some are more resource‑intensive than others, and each one stores its own data through our browsers.

To help get everything running smoothly again, please take a moment to look over the Pogo Troubleshooting Guide and try a few of the recommended system checks. It’s a great resource for resolving the most common issues we see when games don’t load or behave as expected.

I hope this helps and if you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. Together with other players and our EA Community Managers, we would be happy to offer you more support.

  • I don't know what changed, but I always use google for my browser. I did all the suggested trouble shooting, neither game will load, I get blank pages. I can load both games using edge 🙃

That helps. Pogo is a browser-based gaming site, right? Well, our devices and browsers go through updates continuously, sometimes they alert us or at other times they are waiting for our approval. Generally, browsers update every 2-4 weeks, but they can come in at any time and are rolled out in stages by region and device.

You have 2 different browsers on one device 🧐 Chrome, Edge, and your device each live in their own separate “environment,” and each one needs its own updates and maintenance. None of them update or clean the others automatically.

Google Chrome = its own environment. Chrome has its own:

    • Update system and cycles
    • Cache
    • Extensions
    • Profiles
    • Security patches
    • Updating or cleaning Chrome affects Chrome only.

Microsoft Edge = its own environment. Edge has its own:

    • Update system and cycles
    • Cache
    • Extensions
    • Profiles
    • Security patches
    • Updating or cleaning Edge affects Edge only.

Your device (Windows) = a third environment. Windows updates are separate from both browsers. They include:

    • Security patches
    • Driver updates
    • System stability fixes
    • Compatibility updates that browsers rely on
    • A Windows update does not update Chrome or Edge.

Google Chrome has had recent updates. The most current releases include Chrome 147 and Chrome 148, both rolling out in late April and early May 2026.

Release updates from the Chrome Team at Google > Chrome Releases

    What’s been updated recently:

Chrome 148 is the newest stable release and includes:

    • New user profile creation UI
    • Autofill improvements (driver’s license, passport, national ID support)
    • AI enhancements, including Gemini-assisted autofill and an AI Mode button
    • Vertical tabs option
    • Security fixes and performance improvements
    • This version is rolling out gradually across Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.

    Chrome 147 (Security Update – April 29, 2026) Chrome 147 delivered:

    • 30 security fixes, including several critical use‑after‑free vulnerabilities
    • Updates across Canvas, iOS, Accessibility, and Views components
    • Bug bounty payouts for reported issues

Chrome for Android: Chrome 148 for Android is also rolling out with:

    • Stability and performance improvements
    • Same security fixes as desktop mode

💫You simply may be in the process of waiting to receive this update on your device, also updates can change the configuration on our devices without us knowing - it's just part of the update. Updates can:

    • Reset certain browser settings
    • Change default apps
    • Re-enable features you turned off
    • Modify security settings
    • Add or remove browser components
    • Change how extensions behave
    • This is why things sometimes feel “different” after an update.

Pogo provides the games, but the performance of those games is heavily influenced by our own devices. Everything matters, system settings, hardware acceleration, graphics drivers, corrupt cookies or cache, browser extensions, and even something as simple as an outdated browser or device can all impact performance.

With updates every 2-4 weeks or anytime on our devices, constant maintenance is crucial with modern technology. Not just for Pogo, but the overall security and stability of our devices. Please watch for updates and check for what may have been modified after the update.

I hope this helps and if you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. Together with other players and our EA Community Managers, we would be happy to offer you more support.
