Forum Discussion
Hello and welcome to EA Pogo Forums! Thank you for reaching out!
I understand how confusing that can be especially when your internet appears to be working perfectly everywhere else other than on a gaming site!
One important thing to keep in mind is that while Pogo provides the games, they have no control over our personal internet connections, routers or the devices we use to connect, that part is entirely on our end to configure and maintain. However, I can help explain what might be occurring.
Even when our internet looks fine on the surface, browser-based games like Pogo are much more sensitive to connection stability than general browsing or streaming, gaming requires a constant two-way communication with the server which means even a small hiccup can cause the game to drop!
Before anything else please make sure:
- Your browser is updated and cleaned — cookies, cache and temporary files cleared.
- Your router has been power cycled — unplugged for 60 seconds and restarted.
-
Flush your DNS cache — this clears outdated network routing information that can cause connection drops even when your internet appears fine.
I actually created a guide specifically for situations like yours that goes much deeper into diagnosing and resolving internet and connection related issues after speaking with another player who had a similar issue here → Slay the Lag Dragon: A Pogo Player's Network Guide
For basic device updating and cleaning, please view this guide → Pogo Troubleshooting Guide
Hope this gets you back up and running very soon and Take Care! 🌷🐈⬛
