Hello and thanks for reaching out! I double checked Farm Merge Valley & Monopoly Sudoku, and the games are currently loading as expected on the Pogo website. Currently there is a Service Alert for Merge Academy due to some players experiencing issues with progress not saving, however the game is loading. Let's see if we can get you back into all the games!
A black screen in a browser-based game typically means the game page loaded but the game itself failed to render. These three games can be more graphically demanding than many other Pogo games, which is why simpler games may still load without issue. Common causes include:
- Graphics driver conflicts: These games rely on your browser's hardware acceleration to render properly, and hardware acceleration should be turned ON for the best gaming experience. If you are experiencing a black screen, your graphics driver may need to be updated. Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can prevent games from rendering even when hardware acceleration is enabled. Check for updates through your device's settings or visit your graphics card manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) for the latest driver.
- Outdated or corrupted browser cache; Old game data can conflict with newer game files. Clear your cache and cookies completely, then restart your browser.
- Outdated graphics drivers: Ensure your device's graphics drivers are fully up to date. Very important when playing online games.
- Browser extensions or ad blockers: Extensions can block the scripts and assets a game needs to load. Try disabling all extensions temporarily or open the game in an incognito/private browsing window to test.
- Too many open tabs or programs: Graphically heavier games need more memory to load. Close any unnecessary tabs and programs before launching the game.
⚠️ Attention Chrome Users! Google Chrome released a security update on August 20, 2026, followed by Chrome 152 on August 25, 2026. These updates include security fixes to WebGL and WebGPU — the same systems that allow Pogo's more graphically demanding games to display and run in your browser.
Chrome updates roll out in stages by region and device, which means not every player receives the update at the same time. If Chrome auto-updated on your device — which often happens overnight or in the background — this may be why games that were working fine suddenly stopped loading. Simpler Pogo games may not be affected because they don't rely as heavily on these graphics systems.
Here's how to get things running again:
- Open Chrome and go to Settings → About Chrome — let it finish any pending updates and restart your browser.
- Update your graphics drivers — visit your graphics card manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) or check through your device settings for the latest driver.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then restart your browser.
- Restart your device completely.
To help everyone get back to playing as soon as possible, please take a moment to go through the steps in the Pogo Troubleshooting Guide and other system checks mentioned below that often-clear things up right away.

I don't know what computer system you access Pogo with but I had the same problem with Merge. I used Edge with Windows 11 PC and all of a sudden Merge would be just a black screen like yours. I tried everything couldn't get it to work. I then opened pogo in Google Chrome and went to Merge and it works fine. I haven't had any problems with Pogo yet with using Chrome.
