Re: Failing to Verify

@JasmineSmilinoq

Hello! As a fellow Pogo player, I believe I can help you a bit with some of your questions.

"I can't get verified. to change my security."

Can you elaborate on what change my security means? So, I can send you to the right area - please don't post personal information just exactly what you need to change.

"I have been a customer for a long time but have never receive an e-mail from you."

Pogo.com normally only sends us emails yearly when our accounts are up for renewal or after a gem purchase. As for the owners of Pogo.com, EA will only send you emails if you sign up to receive them.

"I can still get in on my laptop but not my desk top."

There could be several reasons why a website recognizes a laptop but not a desktop. I highly suggest you get help from a trusted person on this issue in person, to help you troubleshoot this issue or take your time, lots of time in figuring out what best works for your situation.

When you speak to Pogo/EA Customer Support they cannot access our computer to make changes for security reasons. So, they will simply mention this step or that step to try and troubleshoot this issue.

The internet is full of videos and articles that help with computer issues, here are a few I found and know of regarding your desktop:

  • Browser Settings: Ensure that both devices have the same browser settings, including cookies and cache settings.

  • Network Configuration: Check if the desktop is on a different network or using a VPN, which might cause the website to see it as a new device.

  • Browser Version: Make sure both devices are using the same browser version. Sometimes, older versions can cause compatibility issues. Also, some players who are using Windows 10 are not getting full updates, this version of windows is ending in 2025 and is causing a lot of issues already.

  • Security Software: Security software or firewalls on the desktop might be blocking certain cookies or scripts that the website needs to recognize the device.

  • IP Address: If the desktop is using a static IP address, it might be flagged as a new device by the website.

  • Reinstall the Pogo app: If you have installed the Pogo app on your desktop, try to Uninstall and then Reinstall the Pogo app.

When in doubt you can post here or on the Pogo.com Forums, there are Pogo Moderators on Pogo.com and helpful players!

I am a disable person who relies on POGO for companionship and entertainment.

Thank you for sharing, I personally help disabled family members and fully understand obstacles and doctors, lots and lots of doctors, lol.

If I may share something else with you, on occasion I still play PC games on CD-ROM (disk), these games are easy, no account needed, turn it on and play. They are starting to become hard to find but are a whole lot of fun. Maybe a long with Pogo you can try this for entertainment too 😊

I hope this reply helps a little and everything works out for you!
