Solitaire Home Story "A Problem Repeatedly Occurred"

Solitaire Home Story has not worked for weeks! Keep getting ‘ a problem repeatedly occurred’ . What gives? In the troubleshooting you blame our devices. Not true! Other games work just fine. Matching Moments the sister to Solitaire Home Story works just fine. This is so frustrating! And yet challenges are offered left and right for this game. Almost makes me want to quit Club Pogo and not renew. Please fix this or I’ll be quitting Club Pogo. No sense paying for the yearly fee for games that don’t work.

Hello and thank you for reaching out! I would like to take a moment to discuss this in detail to enhance clarity and understanding now and for future readers who may find this in searches online.

"Solitaire Home Story has not worked for weeks! Keep getting ‘ a problem repeatedly occurred’ . What gives? In the troubleshooting you blame our devices. Not true!"

🦉 Troubleshooting steps are not given out of blame, they are given to help eliminate and solve common occurrences on a browser-based gaming site.

Interactive and gaming websites always include troubleshooting steps, because their complexity demands it. Static or simple websites (email, shopping, articles) don’t need them as frequently, but anything involving real‑time interaction or online gameplay does.

If you conduct an independent search using your preferred search engine, enter the phrases:

    • "Troubleshooting steps for a browser-based gaming site"
    • "Black screen while gaming"
    • "White screen while gaming"
    • “A Problem Repeatedly Occurred” error message (common)

You’ll discover quite similar troubleshooting methods on various gaming or interactive websites. The important thing is to customize those methods to fit your particular device, browser, and what you observe on your screen. Different devices manage games in unique ways, so the appropriate solution relies on your configuration!

Configuration can come from 3 specific areas:

    ✅ Device Configuration

    ✅ Browser Configuration

    ✅ Network Configuration

When some players have no issue with a game and others do, that's almost always a configuration or environment‑specific issue, not a site‑wide failure. And with the huge variety of devices and browsers people use today, the range of possible differences is enormous.

Deep Dive: Players can play on phones, tablets, laptops, pc from various manufactures with different versions + various different browsers which operate differently within those devices.

Each device type has its own:

    • Operating system
    • Hardware capabilities
    • Graphics support
    • Security settings
    • How they handle HTML5
    • How they process WebGL
    • How aggressively they block scripts
    • How they manage cache and cookies
    • How they handle memory and more

Two players with identical devices and browsers can still have different results because:

    • One has an ad blocker
    • One has a script‑blocking extension
    • One has aggressive antivirus settings
    • One has VPN or proxy interference
    • CPU speed
    • RAM availability
    • GPU capability
    • Background processes
    • Battery saver modes

Network differences matter. Some players have:

    • High latency
    • Packet loss
    • ISP filtering
    • Weak Wi‑Fi
    • Shared networks with congestion
    • These issues can cause disconnects or failure to load assets.

Pogo provides the games, however we control immensely how smoothly the games run in our specific environment. Pogo does not have access to our devices/network to see how they are configured, are they updated, security settings, graphics driver, memory and more.

"Other games work just fine. Matching Moments the sister to Solitaire Home Story works just fine. This is so frustrating!"

I understand this frustration and that is often stated by a lot by other players. However, not every game on Pogo is designed the same and different games rely on various technologies and have distinct requirements for memory and graphics support.

🐦 Pogo is a browser‑based gaming site, so everything runs through our browser. Modern browsers and devices update frequently usually every 2–4 weeks with patches, optimizations, and security fixes.

With devices updating every few weeks, regular system checks are an important part of keeping things running smoothly. Automatic updates can modify or reset settings behind the scenes, and those changes can directly impact the performance of browser‑based gaming sites like Pogo.

Currently Solitaire Home Story has 5 interactive events running with lots of popups + the game itself.

    • Treasure Chest
    • Phil's House of Cards
    • Spellbinding Spring Season Event
    • Rose's Roses
    • Deal Claim (Picture with Oscar)

This is a lot of interaction and resource intensive. The more interactive layers a game has, the more memory and processing power it requires. If a device or browser struggles with a particular feature, it may lead to that game crashing, even if others load without issues. This is why the troubleshooting steps emphasize your browser and device, they aim to improve the environment in which the game operates. No blame ~ Promise 😇🌺

With a few quick troubleshooting steps and some checks on your device, browser, and network settings, you should be able to get Solitaire Home Story loading smoothly again.

🌟In the Pogo Insider for March 12, 2026 there was a mention of players reporting "Occasional loading issues with Solitaire Home Story". If you continue to experience issues after the configuration checks, please take a moment to provide the information on How to Report an Issue:
