Solitaire Home Story Issues

I'm in chapter 57 of Solitaire Home Story, level 1587. I'm supposed to be buying a new fridge for 3 stars. I have enough stars, but every time I press "do it", it shows like it's taking my stars but ...

I just found out that it doesn't work for me to do chores either. I can click on the "chore" but it doesn't mark it as complete.

Apologies for the delay in responding, I was away for a while and just back this week. I wanted to check in with you. How did you get on with this since? Have you been able to buy the new fridge and complete the other chores since we last chatted?
