Termination e-mails

Hello! I am sorry to hear you received an unwanted email, I understand how unsettling they can be. Bad Actors are sending fake “termination” or “suspension” emails to frighten players into calling a phone number, clicking a link, or giving personal information.

Pogo Security can’t fully stop them because the emails don’t come from Pogo. Every major provider — Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook, AOL, iCloud — deals with the same problem. Scammers/Bad Actors simply create accounts, send emails pretending to be someone else. 

🤜 The quick rules to spot and handle! 

• If an email tries to scare you, rush you, or make you click or call urgently, it’s almost always fake.
• EA/Pogo never randomly asks you to "call a number" or reply to this email so "we can talk about your account".  
• Empty threats of: “We will contact law enforcement”, “Legal action will be taken”, “Your account is under investigation”, “Call/Email immediately to avoid account terminated”, "Your account or credit card needs to be verified". — are classic scam tactics.

 

Help protect yourself and our community - Report Immediately! No website, no company, and no security team can act until a bad actor does, reporting is key. 

Report scammers or players breaking the Rules of Conduct   or Positive Player Guidelines   through the Pogo website or through EA Help to maximize a positive experience for our community.
