It isn't happening to everyone.  It isn't happening to me.

I don't think the game is going to have many people play it for very long if it is going to continue to take 2  hours and 30 minutes to generate the max number of lives that do regenerate which is five.

I made a huge mistake playing the game before challenges were put up.  I am on level 164 and can't get anywhere with it.  I use up 5 lives in under 5 minutes and then I have to wait a half hour for just one life to regenerate.

What I should have done is not play the game at all until the challenges were put up.  And then only play as far as I needed to play to complete the challenges, but go no further with it.

The game is not user friendly.   I can't think of any other Pogo game that takes 30 minutes to regenerate just one life.  

And to top it all off, the game is more luck than skill.  There is no way of knowing what tiles are under tiles when they are completely stacked up covering each other.  There should be more room to place tiles..

I am not saying the game should be easy, but it shouldn't be just dumb luck in terms of trying to get through each level.  Not when it takes two and half hours to regenerate five lives.
