What's Up with Snowbird Solitaire

I am growing frustrated with Snowbird.  It seems like I spend the coins for items to decorate my scenery and after I spend the coins, a day or two later the items I purchased are gone from my scenery.  It may not seem like a big deal but some of those items are spendy and why offer them to us if they don't stay!
