Word Whomp Bug

I am having trouble with word whomp. The letters freeze and won’t move into place, yet the timer continues to count down.

How is a person picking up a frozen pile
Ok when inopen a room for Canasta I never change my settings, it's says froze on the pile but she kept picking it up?? How is she doing that? Any suggestions or answers to how she done this?
