Jigsaw Puzzle Hunter distortion

For the past week or so, when matching up the puzzle pieces in this game, they become so distorted I can hardly tell what they're supposed to be. Once I finally get them put together and drop them into the frame, they clear up and give a good picture. If it makes a difference, I'm using a Mac, macOS Tahoe 26.5.1, and using the Firefox browser.

Much obliged for your patience the new Pogo Player Support page has drawn in a lot of players here, and your post a long with a few others got a bit pushed down. Thank you kindly also for providing your device information and taking the time to provide a screenshot, this always helps very much in trying to pinpoint an issue.

The macOS Tahoe 26.5.1, which is actually Apple's newest and most current operating system, introduced a significant visual redesign called "Liquid Glass" along with some early reported graphics and rendering hiccups, particularly during active screen movement or animation, which lines up closely with what you are describing with the puzzle pieces distorting while dragging and then clearing up once placed!

This may be specifically tied to how Firefox is handling graphics rendering on the newest macOS update, so here are some steps that should help:

Check for a macOS update first — Apple actually just released macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 yesterday June 29, 2026 with additional fixes since the version you are currently on (26.5.1). Go to Apple menu → System Settings → General → Software Update and install if available, then restart your Mac and try the puzzle again. Special note: Device updates rollout in stages by region and device, you may have it now or it may appear in a few days.

Update Firefox: Open Firefox, click the menu (three lines) in the top right, go to Help, then About Firefox, and it will check for and install any available updates.

Clear your cache and cookies in Firefox: this will rule out old, cached data as a contributing factor. Then give your Mac a full restart, a full device restart clears cached processes, resets network connections and frees up memory that can build up over time.

Try Safari as a comparison test: Safari is built directly into macOS it is often the most stable option. Before testing, it's worth turning off any Safari extensions you may have so they don't affect the comparison. Check Jigsaw Hunter again to see if this helps with the distortion.

One additional option you may want to try is installing Pogo as its own desktop app! This is called a PWA and it opens Pogo in its own dedicated window separate from your browser tabs, which some players have found helps with rendering issues like this:

    • Go to Pogo.com in Safari
    • Click File in the menu bar
    • Click Add to Dock
    • Pogo will now appear in your Dock as its own app icon

If you ever want to remove it, simply right-click the Pogo icon in your Dock, select Options, then Remove from Dock! More information on this can be found here → PWA for Pogo: Progressive Web Application
