✨Service 2.0 Update - Feedback Thread✨

Sadly, Jay, it's not just you.  They have rolled out this "update" without any planning or forethought.  

It's probably fine for brand new players but for those of us playing for years it's a disaster.  I'm already playing other games.  I suspect SCBI will just become increasingly more unplayable.  It makes no sense 🤷‍♀️

What am I missing here? I don’t understand. 

What was a functioning thriving city with all services met or exceeded, suddenly is in need of services. It just happened in Frosty Fjords for each service and in my main city for power. In Frosty Fjords, I have upgraded so that service far exceeds demand but still it’s saying I need power and other services. In those homes that seem to have services, there is now the demand to renovate them because they had been abandoned due to lack of services, services that had been perfectly fine. In my main city, it took several hundred thousand simoleons to “upgrade” what was already fine plus the addition of an omega power center to restore power. 
This is horrible. What am I missing here because if I’m not missing something, I’m done.

Can yous fix the issue where it’s saying none of my services are covering the demand in my city yet they are all well above the demand? I can’t upgrade any of my buildings or earn sims money because it’s saying all of my services are in demand. Peeving me off. If it’s not fixed in the next week I’ll be deleting the game again 

There are too many glitches.  The game persistently crashes.  Error 17 messages.  Pink pixelated frozen screens.  I've given up with the Watch Ads as they don't give rewards.  The cap on the Mayor's Season is a disincentive, What's the point in trying to get points in a league when there's a cap?  

Why should I make stars to make other items to upgrade buildings I don't want? There have been no buildings in the recent seasons I want.  The pretzels, pumpkins, snowflakes etc are annoying.  

I've made my regions pretty, but I can't be bothered to change my capital now.  

My team has lost several long time players.  Engagement in weekly war has reduced.

I've no idea what the new services are as the screen freezes and anyway, there is no incentive to improve my capital.  The city report is pointless.  The global market is mostly unavailable and has huge, eye straining icons.

If you want to improve engagement, fix the glitches. 

Make epic tokens easier to collect (like neosimoleons). 

Add more land. 

Remove the cap on Mayor's Pass.

Improve rewards so it's an incentive to buy the Mayor's Premium Pass. 

Ensure the Watch Ads work.

Stop the gimmicks and the dumbing down of the game.  We're mostly adults who play this, not kids! 

Me explaining to my wife what happened with this update: "See all these power, water and sewage buildings? Well they used to supply all my homes, because I paid for them to do that but, now they provide almost nothing and I have to pay for them all over again, and it costs way more to get them to supply what they used to, and I don't have enough coins to do that so, my city is just being abandoned. 

My wife: "That's stupid." 

Me: "Yeah, it's pretty stupid..." 

Nonsense! Complete nonsense!!!
What do you want us to do?
Tear down our city and rebuild it?! All the effort and money I've invested for the last 3 years has been wasted.

It would be a great addition that once cozy homes are fully upgraded to have them produce seasonal currency like epic buildings do.

For all of these negative comments WHY arent the EA staff responding?

Because there’s no one there,  it’s just a robot now and robots don’t have feelings and unfortunately if there is a human that does read these comments they can’t do anything either because they’re in same boat (robot)

Just like it was when we were at school as youngsters and had to sit and listen to the teacher and behave.and had to do what we were told!

My city is over 10 years old now and is running smoothly at least for the moment any way and if and when I get the new upgradable utilities etc it will mean I’ll probably leave as well.

If you want a new game look at GLOBAL CITY it’s a building game too and I admit the buildings are 10 times better in looks too and I have been playing it for a year now. It’s also cheaper.

So EA you’re gonna lose another heap of players now 😂

This game has been around a while, they aren’t making money but instead of making SimCity Buildit 2.0 and leaving the original SimCity Buildit as is they are IMHO specifically trying to annoy the player community. Every recent update has multiple bugs, they say one thing and then oops a bug means it doesn’t work.

Running 2 games would mean costly hardware upgrade to avoid compute resource conflict, and they aren’t making enough from the game. So they want rid of it.
