1. The cost of rebuild comes from purchased items - THIS IS THEFT - plain and simple.
2. Rename it to CRASH-City. Not one of the bugs, crashes and errors have been resolved. The constant restarting has persisted across 3 platforms - it is a SOFTWARE DESIGN problem.
3. Continued play requires even more $$ to make any appreciable progress.
Since EA as a company is no longer trustworthy, further expenditures are foolish.

In my case, omega money vanished, upgrades cost 12,000,000 simoleans.
Additionally, most of the mathematics are WRONG.
SimCity4 for Mac by Aspyr Media still works perfectly after decades of use.
