Too bad we cant get paid to play this game...
Microsoft I understand, but why Intel? They're basically the founding fathers of microchip technology and have way more invested than their competitors, although I may be biased on that one having worked for Intel in the 90's. 🙂
Most Beta Teams are unpaid positions. I've been on one Beta Team or another across probably a dozen or so different applications and a few games between 1990 and 2016. The people that do it are usually one of two types of people. 1. They love the product and want to give back to the community or 2. They just want a pre-release of the application or game before it hits the market. The Beta teams I've been on were all for the love of what the product is and wanting to contribute to its success. People that fall into the 2nd category generally do not provide as much feedback as those who fall in the first category. It's actually rare that people other than the development team gets paid to test the product.
