[BUG] Train asset clipping and axis rotation at intersections
Summary:
Train car meshes consistently clip one another on train tracks, especially during turns. This is somewhat expected since mitigating this would likely mean separating the cars further from one another. More importantly, all train car mesh assets will frequently rotate 90 degrees on their axis when passing some road/rail intersections, then return to their 'forward' direction after passing the intersection. I currently have 6 different trains unlocked. This issue repro's with all of them.
Priority: Realistically this is a low or medium priority issue, since it is purely cosmetic (at least from the front end). I personally think this should be high priority because of bad the visual glitch is.
Repro rate: 10/10
repro steps:
1. Open app
2. Ensure city has 1 or more train stations with connected rails
3. Ensure rail design includes a turn or two and road cross sections
4. Load and launch a train
5. Observe train on its route
Device info: Galaxy Z Fold 7. One UI version 8.0, Android 16.
App info: SimCity Buildit version: 1.74.2.150717
Other details: If you are releasing new monetized content for the mass transit feature, at least ensure that the prizes the consumer is working for are worth it. It's not a good experience to unlock trains and watch them start dancing at intersections. From a technical perspective, this shouldn't be too difficult to resolve. I am not familiar with the Marmalade game engine, but I do know Unity. Please pull this one out of the backlog and fix.
