Building service demand

My girlfriends cities building service demands are significantly higher than mine but I have a larger population and can’t work out why it’s different for both of us as she had a 7000 population but her demands for water and electric were 148 where as mine for an 10000 population was only 21

Oh yes, of course. Now it makes sense! One has Services 2.0 resulting in increased  services demand and the other one the old services version with each home service demand equal 1 regardless of the home level.

  • Read the pinned post about Services 2.0. It's a major game mechanics update that is being rolled out gradually. Some have it, some don't.

  •

I believe, maximum population that could be reached with no population boosters and with total service demand 21 is approximately one thousand.

  • We literally have only residential buildings each and I have no specialisations either, when I upgrade a house my service demand goes from 1 to 1 but my girlfriends on the same house goes to three

  • I do not know for fact but I am guessing that different residential buildings have different capacity requirements thus the inconsistency you are seeing.

  • You probably use much more Specialisations to boost your population. Service demand is not not affected by population boosted by Specialisations, Parks, etc.
