Buildit App won't open on iPad (latest model)

My Simcity Build it App suddenly does not want to open. When I hit it goes to the White screen with ea symbol then to city with bar showing progress of load. Them it just shuts down. I've tried all the hints re what to do. I am very reluctant to uninstall and then reinstall without a guarantee I would go back to the same city. I've spent too much time (and monet!) getting to where it was. How do I know if I was playing through game centre. Sim City shows up in game centre when i open it. Is that enough to be sure it can be restored? It's pretty frustrating as it stopped working all of a sudden. Thanks

    Go to the Game Center app on your iPad. Is it listed there? If yes, you can delete and reinstall, no worries. When you reinstall, you will have to play through the tutorial and then you can log in again /link to Game Center. 

    After you delete the app, do a hard reset. Hold down the home button and power button until the device completely powers off. This fixes most issues. (You can also try that before deleting.) Then reinstall the app. If it won't load when reinstalled and not logged in, then it's a device issue. Post again and I will try to help you with that issue @11146002

    Thanks for your response. I did that. But when I logged in through game centre my city was not there. It makes me wonder if I had ever logged in through game centre. I do know that it was listed under iOS games though. I think all is lost - a disaster as I'd spent a small fortune building that city. Thanks agin

    I am having a similar problem where the app opens, freezes, then exits out of itself. I have tried deleting the app and doing a hard shut down, but it's still doing this. So, it was suggested that it was a device issue. Any advice on how to fix this? Thanks

    Yep. I did the latest iOS update last night after playing sim city then this morning I can't open it. White screen then close. Please find out why and fix it.

    I followed the advice making sure the game was still in Game Center then deleted it, hard reset then reinstalled it and it now works after going thru the tutorial. Thanks.

    So even without being logged into Game Center it won't open? How much storage is left on your device? How many apps are running in the background?  For checking for open apps, double click the home button. It will have all the apps that are open. Swipe up to close them. Try loading the game again. Does it load? For storage information, go into settings, then general, then usage, then click manage storage. How much is available? Post back and let me know.  If there is a lot of storage left, there is one thing I want you to try. But I need to know how much storage space you have left first and whether that is an issue or not.
