Bye Bye SimCity Buildit

I'm quite sad about it, I really enjoyed building my city and I've always loved the idea of SimCity. Over the years updates have come and its taken a few weeks to get used to them, but the update that dropped a couple of months ago there is no getting used to.

I freely confess I don't want to pay to play, and I rarely pay for extras. And fair enough, if EA want to lose the free players then that is their choice, although whether the players that pay will enjoy being in an empty universe is a question they need to consider.

I used to be able to stay mostly in Metropolis League by playing for 30 minutes every morning. Now I can't, it is instant demotion to City League followed by instant promotion back to Metropolis. That has an obvious impact on the free items I get. Also doing bonus assignments (which are the most viable assignments) costs golden tickets; the stack of weekly assignments are mostly hard work for little reward.

I've found the new update frustrating and I'm resenting 30 minutes a day to bounce up and down. The game has lost its hook for me and, having given it some time, I'm now going to delete it.
