Can't access the Mayor's Pass

Hi SimCity BuildIt! I am curious if anyone is having issues accessing the Mayor's Pass? When I try to open it through the skyscraper icon on the bottom left or through the Roaring Twenties button in the calendar, it opens the Assignments list. I have rebooted my iPad and deleted and reinstalled the app many times. I have also upated my iOS version. There is also a notification on the calendar icon, for the Roaring Twenties.

 Any suggestions or insights are much appreciated!
