Crashing so much it’s unplayable

I know many players experience the purple checkers of doom. Mine is now to the degree that it’s unplayable, especially with the new upgradable service buildings.

progressively worse over the past few months

crash when I move buildings (sometimes if I zoom in real close directly down I can move the buildings a short distance)

crash when I upgrade service

new: crashes when I go to support

i have restarted

i have uninstalled and reinstalled

I have closed all other apps

i have cleared cache

i have cleaned up my tablet to make room

iPadOS 26.4, 9th gen

64 GB with 17 GB available

customer support AI gives me a link to fix android, then closes the the ticket

  • I would be totally fine with simplified graphics and a reduction in all the little spinning coins and other moving objects if it speeded up the laggy gameplay. I have 5 million population in my home city now (had, before service 2.0 anyway) and I don't think the processors in my devices can handle it. The worst is collecting my produced items - so tediously slow as all of them shoot across the screen into my storage. Do you really think I'm excited by these fancy graphics having watched 10million of these things shoot across my screen by now? Obviously the crashes are a deal breaker though. Bad to worse to unplayable now.

  • EA please consider an option to turn off some graphic features such as weather, to reduce processing. That might help with the crashing

  • Just goes to prove EA doesn’t care about iOS users. It’s been going on for months. I noticed that any “help” is for Android users. They have no competent iOS programmers to solve it.
