Could be a club which lost key members who’s taking their lumps, it could be area 4 isn’t what it used to be, or it could be a feeder club. Doesn’t sound strange to me.
- Yeah, it’s normal. Arena 4 is not what it used to be. These days, many key members create their own clubs consisting of only 3 to 5 active members, with feeder clubs filling up the rest of the spots. And thanks to EA’s unique system that defies logic, they are winning all the way lol
Nowadays, 70% of the teams I fight are 10~11 men team with only 3~5 active members, and they are winning my team consisting of 13 real people who have comparable disasters to their best. Your team must make big tactical mistakes to lose against a team of 10, where there are only 5 members participating and where none of them have ridiculously high disaster levels.
Maybe
your whole team sleeping when the war starts,
or your team is hitting all the weak (feeder) cities first and let their better cities score,
or you are not using overkill attacks
or your team is repairing damages or is coming out of their dome, without being forced to doing it.
or ...Superpraesi really, this coming from the great tactical guru...give me a break. Anyone that comes in knowing their goal is to be the first one to the bubble with a lead doesn’t understand strategy...just one dimensional thinking and quite frankly is the easiest club to defeat. There are a variety of reasons that could contribute to the club’s struggles beyond tactical...so let’s not imply they don’t know what they’re doing...because quite frankly you and clubs like yours don’t realize what you’re doing - simply taking the fun and competitive nature out (especially for clubs that are not all about war) and quite frankly are slowly killing the game...
Contrary to what you has assumed, we had
1. Completely dominated our opponents at start of war with minimum 30k lead. So, no, we are not sleeping. And we do overkill.
2. We always attack their strongest members first. But guess what, they always use level three umbrellas to shield their strongest guys. And when their shield is going down during that split second, they will use dud to make it impossible for us to score double with jackpot. Then they continue with their umbrellas.
3. In some cases, they let us destroy them for a good reason: so they can hide till it’s the perfect time to sneak out to get back the lead of 30k or more. They will still use dud at the start to limit what we can gain from their cities.
4. We definitely do not come out of shields for no reason, especially when it is obvious the enemy is going to hide to win. But we do keep fighting till end of war if opponent is not the kind who will hide to win.
So ... any more excuses on why we totally deserve to lose?
And I can tell you using 5 real people + 5 feeders is way “better strategy” than using 10 real players.
For a start, those 5 real players can score more individually each war from the available targets. Good example below:
So this first guy can level up his disasters fast this way since he doesn’t need to let his feeders to score. And the feeders will willingly support him on boosts and stuff! And that’s where the crucial point comes in.
If only he comes out to attack (he has level 8 magnetism and level 5 movie monster) as compared to us who have magnetism ranging from 4~8, obviously he can score more from our cities than we do from his team.
We can’t be telling our teammates, “Hey, your magnetism is lousy! Stand aside and do nothing!” This is plainly wrong. For us, it is about teamwork and have fun together. And we get punished for this?
I had encountered this kind of teams 70% of the time. Frankly speaking, I’m tired of this. Most teams use shields to win. It’s perfectly fine to do that, of course! But that doesn’t mean I should embrace it since it is boring, and the system is giving the ultimate advantage to teams with feeders. I had given up on playing club wars seriously. No point putting so much effort in it to have rats just sneakily stealing it away from me.
If you are enjoying your wins through using of shields. Well, good for you. The day when the rest of us stop playing club wars is the day you will fight like-minded individuals who love to hide too. Let’s see if you enjoy that.
As of now, we are contemplating the boycott of club wars. I even lose interest in CoM already!
Thanks for your objective opinion!
And yes, this kind of strategy is killing the game. I really want to stop playing. My activity in the game drops by 80% after the the painful process of losing our 35k lead through this hide n attack “strategy”. I don’t mind losing to a team right from the start, in fact, I like it since it is less stressful to try to maintain the lead. To lose a lead through the hide n attack method really crushes my morale.
We are winning another team right now (since losing to all the rat teams causes us to plunge to a level where we are way stronger than our opponents, which is unfair to them actually), but there is no joy at all. It’s meaningless when I know after winning, we go up the ranks again to be matched up again with this kind of rat teams.
J6NiceL it’s always great to see you...we’ve shared enough for me to know that any team you’re associated with knows how to compete. I found his comments to be somewhat offensive and quite honestly demonstrates a lack of knowledge of the game and quite frankly just hit me wrong. You’re one of the most respectful and helpful individuals in the game and your knowledge and insight deserves respect.
I understand your frustration and quite honestly I’m on sabbatical from the war game and don’t miss it at all (I do miss some of the people however) which is rather sad because in the early stages it was a lot of fun particularly before these folks that are the southern end of a north bound mule became so prevalent...Take care my friend.
Thanks! 🙂
Yes, I find it funny that he can assume all those things about my team, which is offensive, considering how long I had been playing club wars. He make it sounds like I’m a newbie.
I’m glad for you that you take the step out to firmly tell EA, “I have enough of your nonsense!” by taking the sabbatical leave from wars. But I hope EA will really do something about their flawed system to woo back disenchanted warriors such as you. It is you all who make club wars fun.
Sad to say, things are not what it used to because from the looks of things, players who war for the fun of it are stepping away from the nonsense of wars. It’s entirely EA’s fault. As said, it’s a matter of time I too will step away. Let’s see if club wars can still survive if only bubble lovers play this game.
We did see bubble lovers complaining fellow bubble lovers in here, right? Looks like they don’t enjoy each other’s company lol
We were with our club in the top 250 when we restarted. Now back in arena 4 as well and so far we're usually up against 2/3 lvl 7~11 players and rest 1~4 who are very inactive during war. Sure takes the fun out of it. They don't even bother trying. In the last 10 wars I don't think they even hit over 4k on points all together.
Makes a lot of people being bored (which I don't get personally because there's a lot of other things to do in game). But guess we just keep on going and hopefully it gets better at some point. You’re right J6NiceL, they constantly complain and whine...i just have a real difficult time understanding what makes someone think hiding is fun or even a well thought out or legitimate strategy. I have to concede they have effected how the top level teams have to play the game...some of the folks have chosen to participate in multiple wars at the same time to get what they need to compete in a legitimate war with their primary club. I absolutely despise the “strategy” and the individual who came up with the bight idea should have to participate in 72 hours straight of bubble wars...
Helmsiki101, I’ve read your last 8 posts and glad to see some new blood and a little different perspective on the game. I think to put in proper context folks are not necessarily bored with the city building side, or the Mayor’s clubs or maybe even CoM...but rather watching paint dry and grass grow caused by the run and hide crowd and EA’s consistent lack of interest and failure to address their customers concerns. People are angry and frustrated and have completely left the game due to this lack of respect they’ve been shown...and taken their expendable resources with them...very wise long term business plan...isn’t it?
