game going downhill sadly

sad to say this game is going downhill big.. sadly ea are making this into a pay to win game now with every contest has this stupid album thats way to hard you cant get enough tokens without paying to get the main lair tower or other building from other mayors pass.. every contest now you are forced to buy with real money wich I think is a shame as everything is getting greedy and not like it used to be and weekly cap is rubbish. roads are allways playing up. contest of Mayors is full of cheaters never ever had a chance to get grand price for years..and last the support are rubbish as had a missing building  at the support never help give it back such a shame game is getting slowly ruined over time.used to love this game back in the day feel like greed is taking over !

  • Couldn’t agree more! This effect is worse than any other game I play.  Sim City started well and has continuously gone downhill and it seems it is speeding up downhill of late… been playing SimCity since versions on DOS/Windows and can’t believe the level of greed apparent with the developers (it’s been the worst since Track Twenty got involved)…. Likely also why the ratings for the game continue to slump….

    i’m done….

You are absolutely correct. Today we turned on the game only to get undulated by pop-up ads begging for money. We have never, ever seen this many ads at one time, 10-12 popup ads begging for money. The paddle lock icon on the right hand side of the screen is loaded with a couple of dozen ways to spend real dollars. Is EA getting desperate? Is this signaling the end of SCBI?

Food for thought - because so many people have spent money on this game - is EA now liable to keep this game going, without ending? Think about this, how can EA stop this game when they have paying customers that expect the game to go on? Have they put themselves between a rock and a hard place? Just imagine how upset the players would be if EA announced the EOL for this game. HA!

And as far as the COM goes - yes this is a lost cause. So what is the incentive for playing anymore? To build up our cities that cost real money? Everything you do now in SCBI costs money. Ugh!

BTW - We are now using a temporary fix to these fly on-off icons begging for money. We are using a post-em note - sheet cut in about an inch width to cover up this nonsense on the right side of the screen.
