- Anonymous10 years agoIt should be called GLOBALTRADE LOTTERY you have thousands of poeple playing and only 24 items showing for 30 seconds, being able to get something is slim and next to none, if you do get something you feel as if you WON IT not bought it, there should be a store to buy what you need even if you have to pay a fairly hefty membership fee first in order to join, the airport costs $120.000 it's more like a lottery
Is the 30sec refresh also enforced server side? With all the 'sold already' I feel that a bot is querying your trade server more frequently than the ui only (?) 30 sec restriction.
Maybe that's just me being a frustrated sore loser, to use the above poster's euphemism 🙂
- Anonymous10 years agoI didn't read all the posts, but after a short time it became apparent that the game developers have included code into the global market hq to create artificial scarcity. What I mean, if you need something, such as nails, they get a lower offering priority, or don't display at all. The reason for this is clearly to attempt to force people to use their credit card.
There are some things I would suggest that you change, such as advertising for needed items and allow user to post how much they are willing to give in return for said items. Or an auction type market. Either way, don't be so effn obvious about your money grubbing attempts and create a fair market place. - Anonymous10 years ago
So many complaints about the Trade Zone and they animate Dr Vu instead?
Even if you can't be bothered to code in some filters so people could look for items. (and you could charge money for that. I'd pay a simbuck for a filter), you could at least make more 'Global' trade centers, so people could have more search options. I know there are many more items advertised than the 20 you show. Scroll? Page down? anything?
Also, I'm pretty sure there's a hard coded 3 second wait included in the travel to other cities, because my travel bar stops every time, in the same place, always for 3 seconds.

Some sort of search feature that includes items other players have not advertised. Ex/ a player could be selling a hammer but advertising an expansion item. Search for "hammers" and all hammers for sale come up. This would also lead to more competitive pricing
- Anonymous10 years agoI think we found the EA employee's alt account.
- What all the others said.
The global market may have been next to useless before, but what really breaks it, making the game nearly unplayable, is the Wu items being unlocked, making it completely rubbish and unfunctional, as the Disaster items completely floods the market, since EA has misunderstood what makes the game fun. Not so many think it is fun to destroy what they spent a lot of time building up... - Anonymous10 years agoWell, I like the GMT and how it works -- many times I found the needed items and sold the extra ones. But I have to agree with your comment on the disaster items: people seem to have way more of those than they want. That also means what the items necessary for storage upgrades or territory expansion appear less often now and are almost obsolete on the market. It really hinders progression in the game since you cannot make and now even buy those locks and exhausts.
- Anonymous10 years agoHas anyone noticed a lack in sales of ones own items? (And I'm not talking about Vu items). In the last few days I've noticed premium items I put up for sale are sitting there for hours. I have multiple items advertised at a time. This has never happened before. Anything I've put up for sale has generally gone quickly. Is the community so large that many of the cities have become almost self-sufficient? Or is it because people are doing less disaster challenges and don't need big items (ie burgers, smoothies, etc) How could demand be so low?

I have noticed this happening for the past week.
This includes a huge increase on the market of almost nothing but Vu items.
