Longtime player, dealt with multiple “bad updates” but I’m officially unable to play my main city due to pink pixel dots when I try to move anything. All my other cities are playable, however the main city, I cannot breakthrough. Before when this would happen, (freezing, black screens) I was able to restart and the problem went away, now it’s been multiple days and nothing has worked. Tried offloading, everything is up to date, zooming in, I’ve tried it all... I’m concerned because my main city will be destroyed once the grace period for redesigning services ends.. I can see multiple issues on this topic but how can we get some help??? This may be the end of gameplay if they cannot get this problem fixed. I would do anything if I couldn’t delete things. Lol send help!!!
This is a long-standing problem: iOS game incompatibility, and EA hasn't found a solution. The solution is to get an Android device. That's what I did.

I bought an iPad 10th generation specifically to play this game as my old iPad had issues with it. I certainly will not buy another machine, especially after the unwanted services 2 update. EA needs to get a competent programmer to sort it out for all the iOS people.

Thx for posting. I was considering doing the same but if the problems continue on the newest iPad, no reason to do so. My 7th gen has no issues with any other apps.

I’ve literally been shopping new devices!

Actually, it wouldn't be on EA's part. Apple continues to prove that they make their devices obsolete more rapidly than Android. Planned obsolescence.

I definitely agree.. apple has always struggled with sims in particular, to never been quite right.. so I suppose is an android the only way to play?

Well, Android has minimal issues with gaming and less frequent update/upgrading required for the system.
But, I would caution because my device despite less frequent maintenance needs has quite a bit of disruption in 5G service on the mobile network. Minimal interruptions with games/lagging, it does have dropped calls and disconnect while using FB or YouTube.
So, from what I've gathered in Forums and IRL, Android might be better for gaming, but iOS is great for professional needs: music creation, video production, streaming, etc.
