How do I get rid of stars

I'm simply just going to not do any of the assignments that involve the Christmas items. I empathize with the OP, I get it if we cannot sell the items on global, but the fact we cannot even see the materials and items in our storage makes it hard to manage inventory. And I am not going to produce stuff and convert it to currency, I'm reaching middle age and the "spirit" of Christmas has left me long ago and I simply do not want silly santa buildings. They were fine as rewards from event tracks, but honestly, an entire season devoted to a commercialized holiday is excessive.
