Latest update on January 5, 2026 crashes when going to a regional city

The application is crashing when I go from the primary city to any regional city as soon as I click on that regional city, I updated about an hour ago to the latest version. I am on an Apple iPhone iPhone 7 with the latest OS.

    Hi Mayors,

    We've released an update to address the crashing when using effects. Please update the game to 1.73.2 in the App Store/Play Store when you get a chance. 🙂

    It’s the same in my city also. Game closes as soon as I try to click on any item in HQ or when I try to go to another club member’s city. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled and even tried to play it on a different device (which was the latest suggestion given by EA support) but it continues to quit. I’m also still dealing with the road  glitches so this new bug has made my city unplayable.

    Confirmed, disabling the effect for the Christmas tree solved it for me too.

    Disable the effect of the Legendary Christmas Tree, I hope for you though that you have it you main city which is accessible 🥹

    Switching off snow effect from holiday tree solved the problem. I would have never thought to do that.    Thanks for the advice.

    Switching off might be the solution, but I have recently purchased that tree for 20 euros. 😏 So I do hope they fix the real problem..
