The issue on my I Pad seemed to be resolved Monday May 5. I suspect that was when EA was back at the office to check on their servers. I must of uninstall/ reinstalled the game a dozen times between May 2-4. I’m playing catch up in CoM now.

Unfortunately my iPad still has the same problems. Allow notifications seemed to work initially but then it was back to the same problems.
