Omega city screwed

I have been in the same boat as you.  My capital city of over 10 million, with 2/3 being omega builds.  I have spent an estimated 2.8 million neosimoleans on this update. 

thankfully in my case another mayor suggested demolishing omega utilities before the upgrade. So I had so I was somewhat prepared.  I should of bulldozed more.

i feel someone at EA thought they were seeing too many omega towers, so I guess we are being punished.

This update has been brutal.

You have to put tiny tower that cost around 5000 neo near the big tower that even at level 10 are useless and somehow you are able to survive - try to reduce the park 2x2 in half (1x2) and put a little tower . I spent more of 5 million of simoleon to put most service ok, demolish some omega building to make neo and yes will be better have more space in capital - or where needed - thanks for the offer of space, but i pass and about that i spent real money for this game where you demoted my old services you can forget 

Upgrades of Omega services are  more expensive,  instead of upgrades I buy more level 1 services. (Though I had to remove population boosters to have enough room for reorganisations.) 

Omega Power Plant (upgradeable to level 10):

My costs to get level3 (capacity 2025) = 10,000+15,000+20,000=45,000 Neo$

If I buy 3x Level 1,  my total capacity is 2025 too, my total costs are 30,000 Neo$ only. I saved 15,000 Neo$.

Guess how many Simoleons and NeoSimoleons I spent before the math clicked … … yes, right,  I spent all my Simoleons on upgrades. 

Math!  I should use it more in my life, math makes life less expensive and it makes implementation of Services 2.0 less expensive too (as long as the rules do not change again).

Check the price and increase of capacity of the upgrade  and compare it with price and capacity of lvl.1.  You may find out you are able to cover your city with more economical lvl.1 services.
