- @Duckups Yea, I'm more than happy to give land or storage items for war items.
Tbh in their greed they destroyed the peaceful city building game and it's now what it is. I'm sorry you are having this problem, as it means your people can't make the highest points in Com but also have storage problems.
My view is if there's rules in club you go by them if not then do as you want. I don't quite understand this totalitarian part. I have been in many good and not so good clubs but the main thing is that all the great Clubs have some rules. @Penakyna Having worked with many mayors that found themselves in extremely adverse situations, helping several find a new home I am particularly aware of certain phrases that tend to indicate certain tendency and I simply shared what it sounded like...way to familiar based on some of the horror stories I’ve heard. I accused no one of anything.
You’re a bright individual, tell me what you think... “Selling war items is prohibited in my team because no one should have any. We don't do war or monster attacks. People that do are kicked off the team.“ Does it sound democratic or participative? Or perhaps authoritarian, autocratic or dictatorial are more appropriate than the term I selected. Regardless it does not matter...sometimes you try to point out nuances for new leaders so they don’t head down the wrong path.
As related to club rules, we only have one...”be respectful“ and if exercised correctly it’s all you need.
- @PinnacleValley His club his rules, what is problem with that? Democracy is the biggest SCAM of 20th century, made to invade countries without a military intervention because it is cheaper.
- @BlackjackWidow Thanks very much for your comments. 🙂
- @Penakyna Thanks. We might have to do the exchange with players like yourselves.
- @Duckups What's your team and which time zone are you in?

- @roccodonovan8 Fair point mate. I just don't know why they keep pushing the war agenda.
Is it conditioning to make impressionable people feel that war is normal?
Are Electronic Arts pandering to the war machine? - NewGoodland6 years agoNew Adventurer
I have no interest in getting into Wars at the moment. I'd rather build than spend the resources needed to even compete. I just want to trade.
The only thing I do with War Items is periodically do something silly with the Monsters that show up off my city. But City against City War does not interest me.
Unfortunately, that hurts my cities chances in Contest of Mayors.
If one sets aside Wars and Disasters, Sim City can definitely be a very therapeutic game.
- New Goodland Mayor. - @NewGoodland I think if we can get people that are against the war element onboard about this and get them all to contribute - the developers might start listening.

We are not a War Club. Before we were getting war chests but they weren't opened automatically - so it wasn't a problem. Even though it was still unfair that we weren't getting non-war prizes.
Now you have started opening war chests for us automatically on the back of other rewards - that is not the sort of rubbish I pay you for a Mayor's Pass for! This creates a major problem for my team - you can only sell war items to team mates - it's how the game is set up. Selling war items is prohibited in my team because no one should have any. We don't do war or monster attacks. People that do are kicked off the team.
You are favouring war over peace. Sim City wasn't a war game but you're choosing to push that war angle.
I'm complaining on behalf of my team 'Wolf Pack'.
Some of us are disabled war veterans that play the game to assist with mental agility - we're not here to play the war element. Our club states no wars or monster attacks in our rules. You need to remove ALL of the war items from Wolf Pack and replace them with peaceful items.
The selling of war items is prohibted in my team. The only way they can clear the war items is by using the green tickets. My team works well together and plays hard. They shouldn't have to use the tickets they have earned to delete war items that you're now littering our storage areas with!
You need to balance the game out. If a team hasn't ticked 'war' as a team activity they should not get any war related tasks in the game either or you are forcing a war agenda and that is both unfair and immoral towards the peaceful players.
I would like you to do the following:
Get a message to the game developers: Stop forcing the war agenda! Some of us play the game peacefully. We want to see no war or monster attacks on our screens if we have unticked the 'War' box in the team description.
We also want you to take out the war items you have automatically opened and littered our storage areas with and replace them with non-war items and tickets.
We want an equal chance at winning the big prizes by having appropriate tasks - eg non war and no monster attacks without wasting task tickets.
All you have to do is code in the team priorities - if a club hasn't ticked 'War' in the club description, they shouldn't get any war or monster attack related tasks in the Mayor's event ... and there should be no adds pushing the war agenda in any form on the team.
Try developing the game more towards ecology issues etc if you're worried about losing players. War isn't the answer for everything.
Some of us pay for the game - you should listen to your paying customers.
