I have spent YEARS rising my gameplay level to 99. I shudder to think how many hours that translates to. But over the last year or more, I've become acutely aware of the fact that EA has become more fixated on taking in as much money from us as possible, whilst the rewards and returns for such have continually diminished; this seems to be EA's modus operandi these days, no matter how many long term players find themselves unable to stomach EA's constant attempts to grab more money from us all, for less valuable returns, and leave what used to be a hugely enjoyable game.
Hitting level 38 in the Mayor's Pass used to give a hugely gratifying reward in terms of greenbacks. Now, after all the work required to reach that level, we get a paltry 150 greenbacks! Oh, joy!!!
EA, your generosity staggers belief. It is no wonder that experienced players are leaving in droves; and the reason for this is nothing but your money-grabbing and insulting attitude to those who have played the game faithfully, year after year. Unfortunately, EA has no regard for that loyalty, and treats its players with total and utter contempt.
I find myself at tier 21 in the Mayor's Pass, but as of last night, cannot continue raising my tier level because of this stupid, illogica!, asinine points cap which some cross-brained twit decided to introduce in order to make completion of the Mayor's Pass even more difficult. Many players will only be able to complete the Mayor's Pass (to level 38 or 48 depending on whether they have forked out even more money for the premium boost) without having to PURCHASE the points necessary to do so. But, of course, this is the whole point of the Mayor's Pass points cap - to force people to BUY the Mayor's Pass points and obtain essential buildings needed for the City Album, etc.
Come on, EA, admit it. This is just another of your grasping, underhanded, miserly attempts to squeeze even more money from your loyal players. After all your measures in the last 18 months, this is amongst the most reprehensible, unscrupulous and shameful decisions which you have inflicted upon us. But you just do not care about that, or about your loyal players, do you? If you did, you would not treat us in this manner, but show us how valuable we are to you (I have yet to see any demonstration of this from you).
I note another player points out that the points cap applies 'ONLY' to the Mayor's Pass points. It doesn't affect event and COM points.
I feel that every time I complete an assignment now (thanks to this dastardly points cap) EA are STEALING the Mayor's Pass points to which hitherto I was entitled, from me.
Because event and COM points are not affected, does this player believe EA is justified in withholding the Mayor's Pass points from those dedicated and loyal players who complete huge amounts of assignments only to hit the points cap and be denied the Mayor's Pass points to which they are entitled?
This is not at all FAIR or REASONABLE. Unfortunately, as is obvious to all, EA does not have the first idea of these concepts, and seems incapable of applying them to their players. EA, why not show us that we are appreciated? You could start by rescinding this idiotic points cap measure, and demonstrate that, on extremely rare occasions, you listen to your players, admit the points cap was an error in judgement, and give all us players a seasonal gift by ending the points cap as soon as possible.
