How can I make anything from the Silk Store when I don't have that region open? And why would I be required to have those items if I can't even manufacture them? 

But what factory makes the basic raw silk?? I unlocked the Limestone region, and the limestone factory makes other silk products, but they all require the raw silk as an ingredient. And the regular factories don't produce it either. Help!

In the Limestone Cliffs region, raw silk is made in the Mulberry Grove, not in a factory per se.  But it works the same as a regular factory: Tapping on the Grove gives you the usual 'menu' for you to chose the amount of silk you wish to produce, from 1 to 5 rolls.

After you collect the raw silk, tap on the building labeled 'Silk Store'; here you can craft your raw silk into string, or fans, or robes.  Crafting the fans and robes requires items in addition to the silk; i.e., wood & glue for fans; paint & home textiles for robes.  These crafted items command a good price in the Global Trade.

I accidentally bulldozed the Mulberry Grove. Is there any way I can get it back?

@SteveAngie hello. I don’t think you can get back buildings you bulldozed. You need to build it again.

there is a building that you could buy for 15k sim coins in order to get Silk. It’s called Mulberry Groove. The truth is I also have the same problem as you do. 😁 I hope this information helps you to get silk item right away.
