Hello SimCity Buildit Team,
I have been casually playing since 2014.
Lvl 60+ with 3.5M in my capital city.
I noticed in the last 6 months, a number of updates have made the game much more frustrating:
1. Three new commercial stores which throttle your storage capacity, all added within couple months. In game economics for the items from those stores don't make sense. Prices are tripled on the market when you don't unlock the item, and once you do unlock those items they sell for far less. Also the products required to build the new items far out cost the price of the product. In 10 years, there haven't been new stores added. Why 3 new stores in the last few months? This will discourage players from playing due to the difficulty.
2. Contest of Mayor has far too many irrelevant assignments, and the algorithim hides assignments that you are in position to complete. Anytime I am ready to expand the storage or city, those assignments never appear. Rewards for CoM have become stripped down, making it not as fun. The competition has been updated as well making it a lot harder to win anything meaninful.
Would be great for all players to add large skyscrapers as rewards in CoM. Since the London/Taiwann seasons, there haven't been any tall skyscrapers available.
Please add rewards for the free CoM like city expansion, storage expansion, higher cash rewards, along with cooler large skyscrapers. It would make the game more fun for all. I paid for two seasons, because it offered really cool tall skyscrapers...since then no skyscrapers in almost a year.
3. Neo economics double per purchase. Would be great to keep prices stable regardless of how many control nets or neo utility buildings you have. Neo mall also doesnt offer enough expansion items, and often offers vu items far more frequently.
4. Too difficult to acquire expansion items. As a 10 year player, I haven't yet unlocked all the expansion areas in my capital city. The only way is to buy simcash, or wait years getting items through neo mall or ships. Would be great if the game rewarded more expansion items.
All in all, a couple friendly updates to make the game have more sensible economics and with more rewards, would be great for all players new & old.
