Subject: Extreme Ticket Inflation: 50% Cost Increase & The 45-Ticket Ad-Paywall

Hi everyone,

I need to report a massive inflation of Golden Ticket costs in this week's COM. EA has essentially devalued our saved tickets by 50% overnight. Here is the breakdown of the new 'price list' in my COM:

  • Building Upgrades: 45 tickets (was 30) – 50% increase!
  • Standard Tasks: 35 tickets (was 30).
  • Simple Tasks (Simoleons): 15 tickets (was 10) – 50% increase!

The most absurd part: The Ad-Paywall Task

I currently have a task in my list that requires me to PAY 45 Golden TickIets just to 1watch 2 ads. This is not a reward; it’s a paywall.

We are being forced to spend our devalued resources to watch ads that—on top of everything—are still technically broken. Temu (Waia), Vinted, and June’s Journey continue to freeze the UI, forcing game restarts.

This level of inflation, combined with the technical instability, makes the COM feel like a 'resource sink' rather than a competition. Is anyone else seeing this 50% price hike, or is EA testing how much inflatiI

    I totally agree. Another rip off. They get money from ads so I guess this is the reason to force people to watch them. I run ads to get rewards but rarely actually watch them.

     Also the daily task to upgrade a residential buildings no longer includes Omega buildings. I’ve not tried any others than residential yet, such as London, Tokyo, etc. I am not going to do any bonus tasks this week even if I get demoted. Already finished CoM.

    I assume they know best how to monetize their game but the only thing they’ve accomplished as far as me personally is less game time. Fine by me. Books, crossword puzzles, walking. I could find a thousand other things to do with my time.

    Another money grab from the designers. Will see how this ticket inflation goes.  I have stopped doing any building upgrades due to the Services 2.0 upgrade. It costs too many simoleons to upgrade the utilities and services. The new service zones apparently can’t support the same population as the old buildings.  I have had to move buildings to keep them happy because a fully upgraded service can’t support it in the same location.   I do every other task I can except for a building upgrade task.

    I ignore the Watch 2 ads for 1400 green points. Not worth the hassle. I only watch the ones when I change the RZs one, so for all of you that are complaining just do what I’m doing…..ignore them ,simples!
