Subject: Suggestion to Introduce a Double Railway Track Upgrade

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to suggest an improvement to the railway system in SimCity BuildIt. At present, the railway network appears to use a single track, which allows trains travelling in opposite directions to pass through each other. From a real-world physics and railway-system perspective, this is not possible and can sometimes look unrealistic during gameplay.

I have also noticed that the game already has an algorithm that makes trains wait when another train is occupying the track or approaching from the opposite direction. Therefore, it seems that the basic train-spacing and waiting mechanism is already implemented in the game.

I would like to suggest adding a Double Railway Track Upgrade. Players could upgrade existing railway tracks from a single line to a double line, allowing trains travelling in opposite directions to use separate tracks. This would make the railway system more realistic while also adding another meaningful upgrade option to the game.

I hope the development team will consider this suggestion for a future update. Thank you for your time and for continuing to improve SimCity BuildIt.

    That would make the game more realistic. The issue is EA Developers do not read this forum. And the programmers seem to introduce new bugs every time they try to change something. So in a perfect world it’s a great idea but as a long time player I would not get your hopes up. It’s only a game (not real life) and not a very good one these days so I wouldn’t let the little details bother you.

    What you are asking takes up more resources and spreads the game out so that services cannot reach the residential zones as easily.   For services to be effective, everything needs to be. Compacted into smaller spaces. It is bad enough we have roads to deal with.

    Not true, the double rail line would take up the same footprint as the single rail line exactly as already exists at the stations. The stations already have double rail lines so why they just didn't extend these lines in the first place is a mystery. Then you would have dedicated lines for each direction.

    If you look closely at the opening picture for simcity buildit you will notice the double train lines and am still waiting for it to be implemented . Maybe one day
