I am also president since start of sc, ithink the sportshop is still seasonal, dumb, its a summer holyday shop, in february? The toy shop is just an extra shop, and only available for lvl35up users. I only have 1 city over lvl35, the rest is lvl18, to obtain special items likestorage more than my large city. They changed the level needed for the sportshop. My lvl18 city had it before, and i can just activete it. I think it was lvl8 as the rest of the seasonal shops. Only the shocolate factory is lvl17, but everyone in a group can get that.
oh, wait, just reactivated the sports store from storage on my lvl18 city, i could place it, but the items, like a tennisracket is lvl35, so i can better remove it, haha, only back to storage is possible. Wow.
You have to be level 40 to unlock the toy shop and level 35 for the sports shop.
- @Vernissa I am level 99 and both building are not showing up, I love it but still play minimally since the train as I have a life and I don't work for ea( being on all the time to click on freaking trains every 9 min, ridiculous. I wonder how much less they are making since this upgrade, I am sure not going to spend on this game.
- @Rawdon999 One of my team members is also on level 99 and does not have the toy shop, and not getting those items required for buildings, etc. She is in contact with EA and is awaiting their solution. Like me, we had the sports shop from the previous time it was temporarily available.
As for the trains, they give no benefit to the game at all.

Allow me to share with you that the new "Toy Store" & "Sport Shop" is currently in a restricted early access mode. Being a feature currently in the work-in-progress state, we want to thoroughly test it before rolling it out to all other Mayors.As this is a testing phase, we are gathering players' feedback so it can be shared with our concerned team, and we thank you for taking out the time to let us know your thoughts and concerns. The EA help desk really grinds my gears, the way they communicate it is as if they are sharing some secret with you.
I also do not appreciate being an unwilling participant with these beta projects with ZERO communication up front. I want my money back, all of it.
Yeah the new season just downloaded and I STILL don’t have either shop. I’m Level 65+. The number 1 shows on my commercial building icon but the shops aren’t there. I even get the announcements about the new shops but can’t get them!! WTF??
The worst part is that some of the challenges etc are asking for things those shops produce and I can’t play because of this!!! GET. YOUR. S*%#. TOGETHER. EA.
Not everyone has these shops at the moment. They are restricted access. Think yourself lucky as there is no additional storage for them
My case is: I'm level 99, I had the sports shop from another season, but it didn't work though I read in play store it should be working. What's even more stupid: I see all the time a number two over the shop icon, though there's no trace of the toy shop. I didn't even know it existed. Even worse: As each time I entered the game a message appeared saying I could upgrade the sports shop for 250.000 simoleons, I finally did it, believing it would work afterwards, but I spent that money and this is the image I get when I click on the sport shop. They are cheating people when they say it's an experiment on a few players as they did with trains. No!!! It's a super bug they can't solve, because if I'm not in the chosen unvolunteered players, why am I receiving messages to upgrade those shops?
I'm really angry with the developers. It's impossible to contact them and now asking for help in the game is harder than before....
