Who is in charge of this company?

Today we booted up SCBI - updated to the newest version, a joke by the way of Halloween. Only to run two assignments in the COM - daily assignments of earning simoleans and watching two videos, neither one of these assignment produced points.

Let's say this again: NEITHER OF THESE TWO ASSIGNMENTS PRODUCED POINTS.

You say we are mistaken? You say we did something wrong? You say we did not update? Look at the enclosed screen-shot:

The icon to the left of "Weekly Cap" is an association to the new COM, and the Halloween theme, Next in that Weekly Cap is says we have earned 4900 points for tier one. Next in the top portion of the Assignments - daily assignments say 2/5 - to further prove that we have indeed run both the: watching two ads and making simoleans, Yet our score still says zero.

We even forced closed the game and re-started. The same results.

So now we have to ask this very simple question, who is in charge of this two-bit company? After 12 years of playing we have now come to this?

EA you are the worst company ever. You do not LISTEN, you do not ACT, you cannot get your game to run properly anymore. What a joke - and you expect the players to spend money on this game? You had better get a clue.

Is there anyone reading these posts besides a bot? Let's see how long it takes them to fix this boon-doggle.

My oh my, Where does it end?

I would love to see EA make a change that makes the game better than before.

Thank you for letting us know the EA has  once again changed the rules. We did not realize that the "daily and weekly assignments" no longer accrue points in the COM - only in tier progression.

This decision is questionable though, because these extra assignments were put into place to help the players who do not cheat in the COM. Now that this has been taken away we are going to see the cheaters resurface again.

Its already happening - in less than one day the difference between most players (90 out of 100) and first place is huge. First place is over 41,000 points while most others are less than 18,000 points. While we do understand that this may be possible to collect this many points - the time duration is the key factor here.

Assuming that a person sleeps 6-8 hours in a day this leaves 16-18 hours of straight playing. In other words 2300-2600 points per hour. We are questioning if a player would play 17 hours non-stop. Pretty unlikely. So the points per hour would need to go up if playing less time.

Keep in mind that only one assignment can be started at one time and some assignments are not available until a later time.

We do know that one can make items in the "background" while another assignment is taking place, We are aware ourselves how assignments can be co-produced and have done that. But there are many assignments that require specialized items, you would need to make ingredients that go into making other ingredients that go into the final product.

Given the whole collection of available assignments - the difference between one or another (war vs making and item, earning Neo Simoleans vs earning regional currency, running multiple disastes and repairing the damage) ect.

The total coordination effort for making this many points per hour, needs a lot of resources. Speed up tokens for factories, speed up tokens collected and used from Epic projects, This whole scenario would take an incredible amount of coordination.

Is this impossible? Maybe not - but highly unlikely.

And for what it's worth - this is only one day's worth of playing - tomorrow this same player who is in first place will have garnished another 41,000 points to go even further ahead of the rest of the players. Even more unlikely.

Great decision EA - a company that has no common sense. A company that penalizes the good players in hopes of restraining the cheaters. Sorry to say this but maybe to contain the cheaters - remove the Contest of Mayors all together, in this way they cannot cheat.

Thank you, we already were aware that EA sold out to a foreign investment firm. We were not asking this question "literally".

Please use titles that are short, brief, and explain what your post is about. Sarcasm doesn’t come through online so it is misleading and who is “we” how many of you wrote this?

Look up the forum guidelines if you need a refresher on how to title your topics.

41k points for the leader is hardly anything, with respect. In the league I am in (Megalopolis Level 99) the top 6 players already have over 90k each.

I suspect the disparity you are seeing is more to do with people lower down no longer trying, rather than people at the top cheating. I would normally be at over 100k points after 2 days; today I'm at 23k as there's no incentive for me to do lots of Bonus Tasks. The most I would get is 25 SimCash - and the time I would need to spend to earn this would be huge.

As far as I know you can still work on several Bonus Tasks at once (up to 3?). Though I haven't tried this myself since the change was made.
