Hiya @alwe15! So sorry it took some time for me to get back to you on this. The holidays are very hectic for me, so not a lot of gameplay time lately 🙂

I seem to remember also having an issue when I was first figuring out the airport. I think this is probably just an issue of trying to place things in the wrong spot. I made a test area and was able to fully upgrade the municipal airport. Couple things - you can build on any type of road, so no worries there. The sign goes on the building, not the on the road, so look for the blue dots there. The cargo and passenger terminals will only attach to the main building, and only on the right (if you're looking at the front). Try adding the building extensions before you add any more runways. Maybe you blocked the spots with a runway?

    Hi mate,

    Apologies, I completely lost track of this thread and rudely did not respond to you!

    Unfortunately, it appears that there may be a bug with this particular City or Save. I do not even have the two small placement dots for the sign on the airport. I have saved the game and attempted to build the Airport on a few different road types and in a different area but except for the additional runways, the story is the same. 

    Strangely, I removed all of the runways to see if I had indeed done what you suggested and blocked the terminal spots. I am now unable to re-add the runways!

    Have you any further suggestions?

    No worries on length of time to reply, especially because now I am stumped. About the only other thing I can think of would be terrain? But even having rolling hills should not affect the sign on the building. 

    You could try repairing the game (in Origin, right-click and choose repair). Other than testing in a new save, I can't think of anything else atm. I'll give it some more thought and try to replicate. If I have an epiphany, I'll let you know. If you solve it, please come back and enlighten me 🙂

    Got it!

    I have the Extended Worker Data Mod installed. I removed it and all of a sudden, blue plop dots have returned!

    What a shame. I really use that Mod. I might remove it temporarily, place the Terminals and re-add it.

    Great troubleshooting! That is a bummer - I think your idea to remove it to place the airport is a good one. I usually don't use mods, but I consider that one to be part of the game.

    There are a couple I use - UNoN and another that shows education flow through the streets to the Industrial buildings requiring it. That's all.
