    why do the on the house version of Sim City 2000 freezes up and I cant select a powerplant to start the game but i can pick anything else?

  • I got SimCity 2000 last week and it seems that the "special edition" pieces did not install.  I don't seem to have access to the expansion or the Urban Renewal Kit.

    How can I get these installed?

    Me Too.  In fact, I can't find the button.

    By the way, it does not look like anyone is answering.  How do we get attention to this question?

    While clicking on the power lines button, hold down the button and a drop down window will appear. Select Power Plant and a new window will come up asking which type you wish to place.

    Hi there. I've already purchased Simcity 2000 Special Edition from Good Old Games. However, the version that is up for sale on that site is the "inferior" DOS version. I'm looking for a copy of the game that is running as the Windows 95 version. Which version of the game does Origin have?

    Thanks!

    @Allredhead Hi,

    As Origin also offers the DOS version at this stage, I am unfortunately not aware of a way of purchasing the Windows version.

    Cheers,

    Nils

  • I bought the game for $5 for my daughter to play.   The game ran, but there are some quirks. I cant right click on the power icon to make a power station.

    Also when ALT Tab to the desktop and then going back to the game, how to you get the game to enlarge again since there is no maximize option on the dosbox?

    I believe Alt+Enter is enlarge. (That worked for me on some DOSBox games I got on GOG.) Also, do you have to hold down the mouse button on the power icon until an extra menu pops up? I don't own SC2000 currently but I recall doing that when I did 15+ years ago.

    Hold down the left mouse button on the Power Lines (lightning bolt).  ((right click might work in special edition??))

    I used to go to town with this game back in the mid 90's.  Fond fond memories.
