SIMCITY 2013 - installation from CD failed

Hello there, 

I am having an identical issue. I can't find help or support anywhere, and, like yourself, was hoping to share the immense fun with my kids in the upcoming holidays, but sadly, don't think it will be happening. Here's hoping that I won't have to be re-purchasing the base game as well as all the expansions, because it really feels like since the "merger", a lot of my old purchases through the "origin" and physical purchases, no longer work. I'm a massive "The Sims" fan, been in it since the sims 1, over the years through all releases bought Every. Single. Expansion, and stuff pack you can get. In all of the series. No joke. BUT now, all that works, (for now at least) is my sims 4 stuff and nothing else. Everything is valid, and verified, but no go. I wish you luck, and please update if you find a work around. I still have my ancient computer that still runs like a dream, I just might try installing it there, but I don't like my chances.
