SimCity 2013 not working
Hi, I bought the Sim City 5 Complete Edition on sale and I'm facing the following issue: When I click on the "Start Game" button, it says "Connecting to Update Server" and then displays the error message: ERROR CODE SMCY-25: Could not connect to the SimCity update server. Please try again or refer to the customer support link for assistance. I've already tried everything, including disabling the antivirus, checking compatibility with different Windows versions, and reinstalling everything I found on the internet. I live in Russia, and I understand that I won't be treated well, but I'm asking for help if anyone knows how to solve this problem. I've already tried using VPN and other methods to bypass the ^Russian^ blocks, but nothing worked. I really want to play my childhood game, despite my background and the fact that I have no influence. P.S. The text was translated using a translator, so there may be some inaccuracies. I hope it will be clear I wrote in support, but I think the Russian region is in a bathhouse right now
SimCity 4 compatibility
Hi guys, Not sure if i'm posting this to the correct forum, but I was trying to use the My Sim feature in SimCity 4 with the sims from the Legacy Collection, but the import tab in SimCity 4 is greyed out. I know that the installation directory was changed with the Legacy Collection, so not sure if that's an issue, but just wondering if any of you have had success with this?
SIMCITY 2013 - installation from CD failed
Hey I bought in 2013 the SIMCITY 2013 limited edition and wanted to share this awesome game experience with my kids... so we are trying to install it on a windows 11 PC but we get into troubles when the Origin window pops up asking for us to connect online. Even though I have a valid EA account, it doesn't regonize it... maybe the Origin thing is too old... How can I install the game on the PC without out having to go online ? I am having issues with the 2013 SimCity game. I bought it today and the game loads to about ninety percent and then gives the SMCY 26 error code. EA support has not been helpful. I spent hours trying to fix this with no success. I repaired the game in the EA app reinstalled it into a fresh folder outside Program Files checked folder permissions set the EA app to run as administrator confirmed that no antivirus is active deleted leftover files from Documents and Local AppData restarted and updated my PC disabled startup apps and tried running the game in Windows 7 mode. My PC meets all system requirements. If anyone has suggestions please let me know. I do not know what else to try.simcity 4 launched once but never again
I just purchased simcity 4 deluxe edition today and was trying to adjust some screen settings to make it fit my screen better. i closed the game as instructed to make the adjustments take affect and now it will not launch. I have tried to edit the advanced launch settings and none of them help. all it does is when i click play the EA launcher goes away and the icon for SC4 pops on the taskbar then disappears and the launcher comes back.
Random Freezing Simcity complete collection
Ever since the last update. I have been unable to play Simcity. The game has been randomly freezing inconsistently at random spots during the main menu loading phase. It occasionally has gotten past the main menu to freeze during entering blah town. I am currently on single player mode. Video card drivers are up to date I am attaching my dxdiag.txt as well as screenshots of the multiple locations where the game freezes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game to no luck. I even tried timing how long before each freeze while gathering the screenshots. They are anywhere from 15 seconds to 30 seconds of runtime before the game freezes.Installing Simcity w/ Origin defunct
Can I please get a step-by-step on how my problem with installing Simcity (2013) can be fixed? I own Simcity (2013) on DVD. I am installing Simcity on a new Windows 10 machine Simcity (retail dvd install) requires Origin before copying game files My EA login does not work for the Origin installer Thus, I cannot install Simcity at all. Note, I have not previously played Simcity throughout the entire duration of EA Launcher, and if I have an origin account, I am no longer readily in possession of it. However, I do have a modern EA account, A Simcity DVD and an authentic CD KEY. It seems sensible that with these three things I should be able to play a game I have purchased and possess physically. Please advise on how I might install Simcity so I can get Update 10 for offline play.
SimCity (2013) - ALT+W Not Working
Is anyone else having current issues with the money cheats (ALT+W and CTRL+A:T+W) when playing single player sandbox mode? I can use the cheats to toggle the other stuff (fire, crime, control net, etc) but it no longer lets me use the money cheats to add money. I've tried playing in offline mode on EA, removed all mods, and reinstalled the game. Still doesn't work. Is there a fix?
